To me, The Simpsons is like my favorite fun uncle who, as he has gotten older, is clearly past his prime — he is kind of blotchy from all the gin, makes an off-color joke sometimes, and yells at the TV a lot — but I still remember him from when I was five and he’d buy me cotton candy at the fair and let me sit on his motorcycle.
This is funny because The Simpsons has actually been around since you were five years old.
